TillJotter ("we", "us") is a bookkeeping application operated by the owner of MonmuMonje Store. This policy explains what information the application collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how it is protected. It applies to the TillJotter web application where Plaid Link is offered.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address you use to sign in.
- Financial transactions — bank and credit-card transactions, balances, and account details, either imported from PDF statements you upload or retrieved from your financial institution through Plaid when you choose to connect an account.
- Bookkeeping data you enter — your chart of accounts, categorizations, rules, receipts, mileage, invoices, and notes.
How we use your information
We use this information solely to provide bookkeeping features for your business: importing and categorizing transactions, reconciling them against bank statements, generating reports and tax estimates, and answering your questions about your books. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers we share data with
To operate the application, limited data is processed by the following providers:
- Plaid — when you connect a bank account, Plaid securely facilitates the connection and provides your transaction data to the application. Your bank credentials are entered directly into Plaid and are never seen or stored by us. Plaid's handling of your information is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage. Your data is stored here.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Sentry — error monitoring. When something goes wrong in the application, a diagnostic report is sent so we can find and fix it. These reports are stripped before they are sent: amounts, transaction dates, account names, email addresses and identifiers that could identify you are removed, and we never send your transactions, balances or bank data. Reports are tied to your account ID only.
- OpenRouter — the AI features. OpenRouter passes each request on to the model provider that answers it. Three features use it, and each one only sends anything at the moment you use it:
- Categorization suggestions and the "Ask about your books" assistant send the transaction descriptions and amounts relevant to your question, along with the question itself.
- Receipt scanning sends the image of the receipt you upload, so the amount, date and vendor can be read from it. A receipt image usually shows the business you paid, what you bought, and the last four digits of the card used.
Nothing is sent in the background. If you never use these features, nothing about your books reaches OpenRouter. You can enter receipt details by hand instead of scanning, and the ledger, reports and Schedule C summary work without any AI feature.
How we protect your information
- All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Data is encrypted at rest by our database provider (AES-256).
- Plaid access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application level (AES-256-GCM) with a key kept separate from the database, and are stored where they cannot be read by the browser.
- Database access is restricted per user with row-level security, and application secrets are held server-side only.
Data retention and your choices
- You can disconnect a connected bank at any time from the Transactions page, which removes the connection and revokes the stored access token.
- You can delete your ledger data from within the application.
- You can permanently delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from Taxes & Settings → Delete Account. This disconnects any linked banks and removes your login and data.
- You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address below.
Children
TillJotter is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
